Fancy Pants Ball is our take on a black tie event. A not-really-a-black-tie black tie event. A black tie event for people who don't own a black tie.

This year, our annual fundraiser, The Fancy Pants Ball, will be held on the roof of the Main Library and we couldn't be more excited. Our moms are always telling us to class it up, and that's what we've decided to do. Sort of...

Think tuxedo t-shirts, thrift store dresses, the Champagne of Beers instead of a champagne toast. Think low-brow food served up all fancy-like and a boutonnière made of dandelions and grasses. Because honestly, that's about as classy as we get.

We've been hard at work putting this together, but are currently looking for more sponsors, volunteers, restaurants, and auction items. If you are interested in taking part in what is sure to be the best fancy-ass event you go to this year, take a look below.

Let's face it: auctions are kind of boring. Ours will not be. We will be auctioning off Toledo Experiences. Things you always wanted to do in our city, but never had the opportunity. Backstage, behind-the-scenes, chance-of-a-lifetime sorts of things. Ever hoped to have a catered dinner for you and your friends on the roof of a downtown building? Want to camp overnight somewhere that you'd never be allowed? Want to tour a cadaver lab? We're going to make all these things possible with the auction at the Fancy Pants Ball. 

Half the proceeds of our auction will go to continued neighborhood improvement projects, while the other half goes directly to the Toledo School for the Arts Student Opportunity Scholarship fund. Restaurants

In fitting with our theme, we have invited area restaurants to prepare and serve 250 bite-size servings of low-brow food presented in a fancy way. Think fish sticks, Easy Cheese, pigs in a blanket, Doritos... Attendees will be able to taste local chefs' interpretations of fancied-up cheap eats. Our restaurant roster is filling up quickly, but if you are a food truck or restaurant owner, chef, or manager and would like to take part this year, please contact us at villageonadams@gmail.com with the subject "Fancy Food" and we'll get back to you right away.

Volunteers

The Village on Adams is a small group and always in need of volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering for Fancy Pants Ball, please check out our volunteer page and let us know in your message. Volunteer shifts will be split so anyone working the event will also be able to attend. Thanks so much in advance.
